Crooked and crowded teeth do not only affect your appearance, but more importantly can cause caries, periodontitis, temporomandibular diseases, etc. If not treated immediately, it can lead to severe disruption to your maxillofacial system. Orthodontic treatment can change all this.
Orthodontic treatment specialize in the diagnosis, prevention and treatment of dental and facial irregularities. Through the use of various appliances, your abnormally displaced teeth are forced into correct positions and held there until they can be independently aligned in a healthy manner. Both children and adults can all benefit from Orthodontic treatment.

Best age to get Orthodontic treatment
The best age group to receive orthodontic treatment is from 10-15. However, with advances in treatment techniques, patients age is no longer a concern.
Some adults may be turned off by the thoughts of wearing braces as a part of their orthodontic treatment. With the new generation of braces such as transparent braces however, you’ll feel more confident at work and socializing with friends.

How long do Orthodontic treatments take?
Usually, the average Orthodontic treatment takes about 2 years, this period however does vary with individual cases.

Why wear the retainers?
After teeth are forced into correct places by wearing braces, they sometimes tend to uncorrect themselves after braces are removed, which is why we need retainers. Retainers are recommended to be worn for the duration of roughly one year.
